Ndoro and Obaseki, twin brothers of royal birth, now find themselves on different paths to the same destiny. Ndoro, driven by revenge, forges his adopted people into the greatest weapon Uhuru has ever known. Obaseki begins a sojourn that takes him to the land of his mysterious spirit horn, Moyo, the pieces of his puzzling power falling into place with each step. As each brothers' powers grow their paths become clear.

Meji Book Two begins where Meji Book One ends, following the brothers into adulthood. Each adventure brings them closer to their destiny as well as revealing more of the diverse and wonderful word of Uhuru. In Meji Book Two, Two will become One.

Not many writers could satisfactorily conclude one story and open the reader's eyes to the limitless possibilities of another, but Mr. Davis is amazingly successful at both. I love this book and I love the author even more. He has opened my eyes to a genre (Sword and Soul) that I can connect, relate, and rejoice with. I feel as if this genre was made for me and my people. Not just as another historical fiction, but as a fantasy that I have been longing for. I am so elated that I finally have fantasy that I can share with my children and say, "these tales were written for you, by people who look like you, and share a common ancestry with you." Here are stories, not about fairies and leprechauns, but ancestors and gods that OUR people believed in. Thank you so much for giving me that opportunity and allowing me to open their minds to the limitless possibilities you have lead your readers to.

Good story.
An absolute must read for lovers of the fantasy genre. There is definitely room for Ndoro next to Jorg Ancrath and Obaseki would resonate well with anyone who liked Aragon. Fact is I devoured these books voraciously as you will.
I read the first book in a few days and did the same with this one. I read both of them in under a week! Very exciting book that kept a good pace. Hoping there is a Meji 3 coming sometime soon - I love the characters and want to read some more!
There was never a dull moment in this book. For anyone wanting to experience sword and soul fiction, this book and it's predecessor Meji Book One are a good start. The female characters are very strong, great compliment to the male characters. Best ending to a book I have ever read.
Another great read. I was fixated from beginning to end and compelled to finish the novel in within the first few words of the book. I highly recommend this book for a great read.
This book was fun to read. I had decided to dedicate my summer reading to Sword & Soul. I read Meji One first and then Meji Two. I also read some of Charles Saunders adventures as well as the Sword & Soul short story collection called 'Griots'.
The historical roots in these adventures are African and Middle Eastern. The magick and the mysticism in the stories also come from cultures in these areas.
This opens a new world of fantasy and it is kind of like discovering the field anew.
What a great conclusion to a strong setup! The first book gave us a cast of interesting and complex characters (my favorite was Obaseki) and this sequel shows us how those characters ultimately come together, the consequences of their earlier actions. I wasn't able to sympathize much with the warrior-brother, but I found the priest-brother's story to be pretty compelling. Unfortunately, the female lead introduced in Book 1 (a political manipulator and seemingly powerful player) is reduced to an insecure schemer and eventually disposed in this story. But that aside, I really like the series overall and hope to see more from the author.
