I've read a lot of discipleship material over the last few years. Much of it is quite good (Willard's "Great Omission", The Luke 10 manual, Celebrate Recovery process, even Nee's "Sit, Walk, Stand"), and I can recommend reading widely in this crucial area to begin getting reacquainted with the simple but often overlooked command from our Lord: "Go and make disciples". I will continue to do so myself. However, in many ways, my search for a discipleship framework that I can "hang my hat on" is at an end. In humble, readable language, Suitt distills the daily process of denying ourselves and taking up our crosses (and knowing the peace and joy of Jesus!) in an extremely practical and immensely memorable way. Those familiar with Neil Cole's LTG framework will find themselves right at home here, and may, like me, find that extra bit of freedom in Suitt's adaptation that makes it doable in the reality of their day-to-day lives.I have already recommended the book to several friends and will continue to do so.
